April 2008 Beaded Gold Ring Project

You can find a variety of Free Arts and Craft Project here, including beaded project and other project. This month, I would like to feature the instruction on a beaded Gold Crystal Ring made with Japanese glass beads and Swarovski crystal using the right weave technique.

Beaded Gold Crystal Ring

The pictorials are illustrated with spaces between beads for a clearer direction, in the actual beading, there should be no spaces.

What you need:
1)  Size 11/0 glass beads (Silver White)
2)  Six 5mm Swarovski Bicone crystal
3)  Beading string (0.25mm)

Always pull tight on every step!
Step 1:
  • Cut one piece of string around half meter long.

Add six beads at the middle of the string, add one more 5mm crystal and crisscross the other end of the thread through the last added crystal (shown where both arrows exits from).
Step 2:
  • Continue to:

Add one new crystal on the each side of the string (total of 2 crystals), add one last bead, crisscross the other string through the last added bead (shown where both arrows exits from).
Step 3:
  • Continue to:

Add one new crystal on both side of the string (total of 2), add one last new crystal and crisscross the other string through the last added crystal (shown where both arrows exits from).
Step 4:
  • Continue to:

Add two beads on both side of the string, add two more new beads and crisscross the other string through the last added two beads (shown where both arrows exits from).
  • Repeat this exact step until you almost reach the length of the ring you need. Remember to stop around half centimeter before you reach the exact length you need.
Step 5:
  • Joining the ring:

The top two beads represents the part you stopped at.
The bottom two beads represents the first two beads you started with in step 1.

Add two beads on each end of the string (total of four).
Pass the right (black) string down through the two beads from step 1, tie the two threads where they meet (shown where the two color threads crisscrossed).

Remember to tie a dead knot and string the excess remaining strings back through the piece with no specific order for a more secure piece.
