Make your own Plastic Bag Holder - July 2008

Here's a list of FREE kid Art and Science project, to help promote creativity and imagination with these arts and craft project and arts craft idea made from simple materials. This month July 2008 make a plastic bag holder from a recycled soda plastic bottle.

Project of the Month (July)

Make your own plastic bag holder!

You will Need:
1)   One large empty plastic soda bottle
2)   Scissor
3)   hole puncher
4)  Thick thread
Step 1: Cut where the read line indicates:

First cut off the top of the bottle.

Second cut straight down until you almost reach the base of the bottle, turn 90 degrees and cut a two inch line and go all the way back up.
Step 2: Punch two holes where the read arrows indicates:

Take a piece of thread, tie a knot at one end of the thread>
Pass the other end of the thread through one hole from inside and exit to the outside. With the same end of thread, pass the thread from outside to the inside of the next hole and tie a knot on the end.
Step 3: Now just fill the plastic bag holder with squashed plastic bags one by one and hang this on a hook that's easy to reach when you need to reach for a plastic bag.

When you want to extract a plastic bag, just stick two fingers into the side gap and pull.
