Make your own fabric flower - August 2009
Here's a list of FREE kid Art and Recycle craft project, to help promote creativity and imagination with these arts and craft project and arts craft idea made from simple recycled materials. This month August 2009 make a flower brooch out of old fabrics and button.

Project of the Month (August)

Make your own Fabric Flower

You will Need:
1)  Few small pieces of fabric (different color)
2)  One button
3)  One brooch pin if you want to make it into 
     a brooch.
4)  Scissors
5)  Needle and thread.
Step 1:
  • Cut four pieces of circle out of the fabric pieces you have, remember to cut each piece smaller than the previous one.

    There's no need to cut a precise circle, you can try tracing around round things like mug or glass or small bowl.
Step 2:
  • Stack them starting from the biggest piece to the smallest piece.
  • Take one button and place it at the exact center of the stacked fabrics, sew the button on to the stack of round stacked fabric. (make sure you sew all the way through all four pieces of fabric).
  • Now if you want to make it into a brooch, just sew one brooch pin on the back of the flower.
    Or you can simply make more of these and sew them onto a plain t-shirt or bag for decoration.
