Make your own Christmas Light bulb Reindeer Ornament - December 2009

Make your own Light Bulb Reindeer

You will Need:
1)  Old burnt out night light bulbs or old Christmas light bulbs.
3)  Two brown pipe cleaners and one red or green ribbon.
4)  Two googly eyes and one red pompom or button.
5) Scissors and glue or glue gun..
Step 1:
  • Take the brown pipe cleaners, cut into four pieces of 3 to 4 inches. (depending on the size of your light bulb)
  • Take two of the cut pipe cleaners and line them like a cross, twist the horizontal pipe cleaner around the vertical pipe cleaner until you get a antler shape shown. (remember to add a drop of glue on the twisted area to secure it.

    Repeat for the other two pieces of pipe cleaner until you get two deer antler.
Step 2:
  • Take a 7 inches long ribbon, tie the two brown pipe cleaner antlers you just made to the metal top of the light bulb. Tie a ribbon loop at the back and a bow in the front. Some times the light bulb comes with a metal hanger already so you can do without tying the ribbon loop.
Step 3:
  • Now glue on the red pompom as the nose and two googly eyes for the reindeer's eye.
  • Now he's ready to be hang up as your DIY Christmas ornament!
