January 2010 Beaded Musical Melody Note Charm Project

You can find a variety of Free Arts and Craft Project here, including beaded project and other project. This month, I would like to feature the instruction on a beaded 3D musical melody note charm made with glass seed beads, using right angle weave beading technique.

Beaded Musical Melody Note Charm

The pictorials are illustrated with spaces between beads for a clearer direction, in the actual beading, there should be no spaces.

What you need:

3)  Beading string (0.25mm) and Round tip pliers.

Step 1: Go to This tutorial of a beaded ball and use the tutorial's step 1 to step 6 (stop after tying off).

By finishing the above steps you should have a little beaded ball.

Step 2:
  • Take one head pin, curve it slightly.
  • Add five seed beads onto the curved head pin.
  • Cut away excess head pin wire, leaving only around 1cm for curling.
  • Bent the 1cm remaining head pin wire in a 90 degree angle.
  • Use a round tip pliers, curl from the end tip inwards towards the bent of the wire, forming a sort of closed jump ring.
(remember to use the pliers to twist the wire ring in a way that it aligns with the curve).

Step 3:
  • Take one long head pin, pock the pin through any one bead on the beaded ball you made in step 1.
  • Add on six more seed beads.
  • Add on the curved head pin with beads that you made on step 2.
  • Cut away excess leaving only 1cm for curling.
  • Use a round tip pliers, curl from the end tip inwards towards the bent of the wire, forming a sort of closed jump ring.
  • Now you can add on a charm hook or even add on earring hooks to make them as earrings!
