December 2007 Beaded Bead Crystal Pendant Project

You can find a variety of Free Arts and Craft Project here, including beaded project and other project. This month, I would like to feature the instruction on a beaded bead crystal pendant made with Swarovski crystal and Japanese glass seed beads.

Beaded Bead Crystal Pendant

The pictorials are illustrated with spaces between beads for a clearer direction, in the actual beading, there should be no spaces.

What you need:
1)  12 pcs 3mm crystal bicone
2)  size 11/0 black glass seed bead
3)  Beading string (0.25mm)

Always pull tight on every step!

Step 1:
  • Cut one piece of string around 1 meter long.

Add nine black glass seed beads and crisscross the other end of the string through the last added bead (shown where both arrows are coming out from). Remember to move this beaded circle to the middle of the string, balancing out both ends of the strings.
Step 2:
  • Continue by:

Adding on each side of the string, one crystal one bead and one crystal. (total of four crystals and two beads)

Add one last bead on only one side of the string and crisscross the other end of the string through this last added bead.
Step 3:
  • Continue to:

Add on the left (red) string, six black glass beads.
Add on the right (black) string, two black glass beads, continue to crisscross this black string through the last added bead from the first red string.
Step 4:
  • Continue by:

Adding on each side of the string, one crystal one bead and one crystal. (total of four crystals and two beads)

Pass the red string through the bead from step 1 (Marked A) from top down and pass the black string through the same bead from bottom up - resulting in a crisscross of both string through the same bead marked A.

Continue to pass the black string up and around 6 beads from the bead circle from step one, exiting where the black arrow is coming out from.
Pass the red string down and around 3 beads from the same bead circle, exiting where the red arrow is coming out from - resulting in a crisscross of both string through the same bead.
Step 5:
  • Continue to:

Adding on each side of the string, one crystal one bead and one crystal. (total of four crystals and two beads)

Continue to crisscross both lines through the bead shown where both arrows are coming out from.

Tie off and pass the remainder string back through the piece before cutting away excess.
