July 2006 Beaded Crystal Ring

You can find a variety of Free Arts and Craft Project here, including beaded project and other project. This month, I would like to feature the instruction on a beaded crystal ring.

Beaded Crystal Ring

The pictorials are illustrated with spaces between beads for a clearer direction, in the actual beading, there should be no spaces.

Beaded Crystal Ring

What you need:

1)    Crystal Bicones (20pcs 4mm crystal)

2)    Silver white glass seed beads.
2)    Beading wire (25 gauge) 0.25mm

Step 1: Before you start, always remember to pull tight on every step.
Cut a piece of wire around half a meter long.

Add 3 seed beads at the center of the wire, cross the other end of the wire through the last two beads added. Make sure you even out both side of the wire so that they are of the same length on both side.

Step 2: Take the left (red) wire, add on one bead, one crystal and one last bead, cross the other wire (black) through all three that you just added and pull tight.
Step 3: Now that you have got the idea, I will go faster.

Continue to add beads and crystal and crisscross it the way you did on step 2.
Add one bead, two crystals, one bead and crisscross;
Add one bead, three crystals, one bead and crisscross;
Add one bead, four crystals, one bead and crisscross;
Add one bead, four crystals, one bead and crisscross;

Add one bead, two crystals, one bead and crisscross;
Add one bead, one crystal, one bead and crisscross;
Add two beads and crisscross;
Add one bead and crisscross;

Next continue the very last step by keep adding one bead and crisscrossing until you reached the ring size you need (measure around your finger as you go along) when you reached the length that wraps around your finger, goes to the next step.

Step 4: The Green bead is indicating the very first bead you added from step 1 (which is where you will join)

After reaching the length you need, just crisscross both wires through the very first bead added from step 1 (green bead), tie off, but do not cut off straight away, try looping them back through the ring as far as possible, no fixed sequence - this is to strengthen the ring and knot you tied.
