Make your own Easter Egg Candle

You will Need:
1)   One Chicken or Duck egg.
2)   Several colored candles .

3)   Syringe (the type without needle - for feeding babies medicine).
Step 1:  Take the egg, puncture a small hole at the tip of the egg using a needle (be careful, do not crack or make the hole too big) Use a long tooth pick to help empty out the content of the egg, you only need the shell.

Clean the inside of the egg by using the syringe to spray water in and drain the egg, until you see clean water coming out.

Step 2:  Find the smallest cooking pot you can find and put the candles into the pot, heat the pot to melt the candle into liquid wax.

Tip: if you want a layered color Easter egg candle, melt one color at a time and not mix them all together when melting.

Step 3:  Pass a thin candle wig into the egg (shown by the red line) make sure you leave half a centimeter of it hanging outside.

After the candle is melted, use the syringe again to inject the liquid wax into the empty egg shell through the top hole.

If you want multi layers of colored wax, you have to wait for the first color to dry out for around 15 minutes before injecting the second color and so forth.

Step 4:  Now after adding the colored wax layer by layer (with an interval of 15 minutes between each layer) you will have to leave the egg to set and totally dry off for at least half a day or overnight.

Next day, just break away the eggshell carefully and you will have your Easter Egg Candle ready, if you find that your egg have problem standing up on it's own, just use a candle holder to hold it upright when burning.
