Recycle Crayon - Kid Art Project - March 2007

Here's a list of FREE kid Art and Science project, to help promote creativity and imagination with these arts and craft project and arts craft idea made from simple materials. This month March 2007 recycle old broken crayons to become a new crayon.

Project of the Month (March)

Make your own Crayon!

You will Need:
1)   Old broken crayon bits (same color or mixed color)
2)   Small pan.
2)   Small test tubes.
Step 1:  Place the broken crayon bits into the small pan and heat it over slow heat to melt them.
You can use all of the same color to make a single color crayon or mix different bits of color crayons to make a rainbow color crayon.
Step 2:  Line the inside of the test tube with baking paper or plastic.

Pour the melted crayon solution into the test tube and place it inside the freezer to accelerate the process.

After the crayon solidified, remove from freezer and pull on the baking paper lining to remove the crayon from the test tube.

You have just made a brand new crayon yourself!
