July 2008 Beaded Crystal Earring Project

You can find a variety of Free Arts and Craft Project here, including beaded project and other project. This month, I would like to feature the instruction on a beaded crystal earring made with Japanese glass beads and Swarovski crystals using the right weave technique.

Beaded Crystal Earring

The pictorials are illustrated with spaces between beads for a clearer direction, in the actual beading, there should be no spaces.

Beaded Crystal Earring

What you need:
1)  Size 11/0 glass beads (black)
2)  Size 4mm black crystals (6 pieces)
3)  Beading string (0.25mm)
4)  Two long loop eye pin, six short loop eye pin, two 
     jump ring two earring hook.
5)  Round tip pliers

Always pull tight on every step!

Step 1:
  • Take the short loop eye pin, add a black crystal into the pin, cut away excess leaving only around 1/2 cm of the eye pin end to curl with the round tip pliers.
  • Make six of these for both side of the earrings.
Step 2:
  • Take the long loop eye pin, curve it around a bottle neck to make a U shape.
  • Add black beads until you are left with around 1/2 cm of pin end left for you to curl with the round tip pliers.
  • Make two of these.

Step 3:
  • Continue to:

    Take one piece from step 2, open both ends of the loop pin slightly and hook two pieces of crystal loop pin from step 1 on each side, close both side of the loop.

    Take a jump ring and open it slightly, hook three ends of the crystal loop pins into this jump ring and close it.

    Take another jump ring and hook the top of the crystal loop on the top and one earring hook, close the jump ring.
  • Repeat for the other side of the earring.
