March 2012 Beaded 3D Banana Project.

You can find a variety of Free Arts and Craft Project here, including beading tutorials and other project. This month's project is a 3D beaded banana fruit charm, made with brown and yellow Japanese glass seed beads using right angle weave Beading technique. Great as earrings, pendant or simply as a charm.

The pictorials are illustrated with spaces between beads for a clearer direction, in the actual beading, there should be no spaces.

Beaded 3D Banana Charm:

What you need:

1)   Glass seed beads size 11/0 (yellow and brown)
2)   Beading string (0.25mm), jump ring or hooks.

Always Remember to pull tight on EVERY STEP.

 Beaded Banana Tutorial
Step 1:
  • Cut a new piece of string, around 1 meter long.:

    Add four brown beads at the middle of the string, crisscross both strings through the last bead added.

  • Continue to:

    Add three yellow beads on the bottom (red) string, pass the other (black) string through the last bead added.
    Continue to pass the red string (the one you used to add new beads on this step) through one old bead marked A.

    Add two yellow beads on the right (black) string, pass the other (red) string through the last bead added.
    Continue to pass the black string (the one you used to add new beads on this step) through one old bead marked A.

    Add two yellow beads on the top (red) string, pass the other (black) string through the last bead added.
    Continue to pass the red string (the one you used to add new beads on this step) through two old beads marked A and B.

    Continue to pass the black string (the one you used to add new beads on this step) through three old beads marked A, B and C then further up through the last bead added in this step.

    Add two yellow, two brown, two yellow beads only one side of the string (black) and pass the same string back up through the bead it started off this step with.

    Add one yellow bead on each side of the string and crisscross both strings through one old bead marked A.
    Continue to pass the left (black) string up through three more old beads marked B, C and D. Tie off. Add jump rings or hooks of choice to wear as earrings, charm or pendant!
