Kid Art Project - April 2005 - Tic Tac Toe Game

Here's a list of FREE kid Art and Science project, to help promote creativity and imagination with these arts and craft project and arts craft idea made from glass bead and seed bead pattern. This month April 2005 make your own Tic-Tac-Toe board game.

Tic Tac Toe Board Game

You will Need:
1)    One square cork board (not smaller than 10 by 10 inch - unless you want to make a miniature). 
2)    Pins 9 - 49.
3)    Color cardboard papers (in 3 different colors)
4)    Scissor
5)    Glue

 

Step 1:  Cut out 6 squares from a light color cardboard.
Measure the square before you cut it out, If your cork board is 12 inches, cut the cardboard in to 6 pieces of 3.5 inch squares. (leaving a 0.5 inch of space between each card board when you stick them onto the cork board as shown in the picture (the black represents the corkboard and the white represents the cardboard squares).

Step 2:  Make the X: Cut two pieces of long rectangle from the red cardboard, glue them in the center to form a large X.  

Make sure your X is smaller than each small cardboard squares.  (Make 5 of the X)

Poke a Pin through the center of each X.

Step 3: Make the O : Use a cup or anything you can find that's round and not bigger than the cardboard squares to trace a round shape. Then find some thing smaller like a bottle cap to trace in the center of the previous circle you made.

Now get a pin and poke the pin through the top of the O. (Make 5 of the O)

Step 4: Now you are ready to play tic tac toe. 
Pinning each move onto the corkboard as you play.

This board has 3 by 3 squares.  Try making a bigger board with 4 by 4, 5 by 5, 6 by 6 or even bigger.
