April 2009 Beaded Crystal Bracelet Project

You can find a variety of Free Arts and Craft Project here, including beaded project and other project. This month, I would like to feature the instruction on a beaded crystal bracelet made with Japanese glass beads and Swarovski Crystals.

Beaded Crystal Bracelet

The pictorials are illustrated with spaces between beads for a clearer direction, in the actual beading, there should be no spaces.

Beaded Bracelet

What you need:
1)  Size 11/0 glass beads
2)  Size 4mm Swarovski Crystal bicones
3)  Beading string (0.25mm)
4)  Several long loop eye pin, short loop eye pin,
jump ring and one pair of jewelry clasps.
5)  Round tip pliers
Step 1:
  • Take the short loop eye pin, add a black crystal into the pin, cut away excess leaving only around 1 cm of the eye pin end to curl with the round tip pliers.
  • Make around six of these first and if you need more for a longer bracelet just return to make more.
Step 2:
  • Take the long loop eye pin, curve it around a thin bottle neck to make a U shape.
  • Add black beads until you are left with around 1 cm of pin end left for you to curl with the round tip pliers.
  • Make around six of these first and if you need more for a longer bracelet just return to make more.

Step 3:
  • Take one end of the clasps and one of the beaded U shape you made on step 2. Use two pliers and open up a jump ring, loop the clasp's loop and one end of the beaded U shape into the open jump ring and then close the jump ring.
Step 4:
  • Take another jump ring, open it, loop one new crystal you made from step 1 and loop the other end of the beaded U shape into this jump ring. Close the jump ring.
Step 5:
  • Take another jump ring, open it, loop the other end of the same crystal you used in the last step and one new beaded U shape's end. Close the jump ring.
  • Keep repeating step 4 and step 5 until you reach the length of bracelet you need.
Step 6:
  • Adding the end clasps.
Open a new jump ring, loop into the ring the other end of the beaded U shape or Crystal (whichever one you stopped at) and also loop the other end of the clasp's loop into this jump ring. Close the jump ring.
